Sports Participation

Any student who intends to participate in July conditioning/practice will need to have a Parent and Student Covid-19 Return to Campus Form completed.  We encourage parents to print, sign and bring it with the student athlete on the first day of practice/conditioning.

If the student athlete participated in sports last year they will need to discuss the requirement with their coach on first day of practice/conditioning.  Any other student athlete will need a physical (form attached) dated on or after April 15, 2020 in order to attend practice/conditioning.  Incoming freshman who participated in school sponsored athletics in middle school should bring a copy of their physical with them on the first day.

All parents are encourage to complete required paperwork on Dragonfly (see attached document for details).

AP Free Score Report

June 30 is the deadline for students to sign in to My AP and indicate the college, university, or scholarship program that should receive their free score report. There are many benefits to sending scores now—namely, saving time and money on college tuition:
• For students attending college in the fall, using their free score send is the best way to make sure the school of their choice receives official scores in time to award them the credit and/or placement that they’ve earned. It also helps them register for the right courses.
• For students in their freshman, sophomore, and junior year, sending a score report helps them stand out to colleges because it indicates an early interest in those schools.

A student’s score report will include their AP scores from this year and any previous years. Students receive one free score send each year that they take an AP Exam, but if they want to send AP scores to additional colleges, they can do so for a fee. Details about how students should submit their scores are on the AP Scores website.

Cross Country- Physicals and Upcoming Practices

All student-athletes, including incoming freshmen, MUST have a physical to participate in Cross Country workouts/training sessions. Students with physicals from this past year have to July 27, 2020 to get a new physical. If you need a form, you can go to tssaa.org and search forms. There you can print a physical form to take to the doctor.  Most offices have them but if you want to fill out forms prior you may do so.

These forms must be turned into the coach or athletic director before your student may participate in practice. Bring it to practice on the first day. If you have any questions, please email the coaches, [email protected] or [email protected].
