KHS will hold the REQUIRED graduation practice on Monday, May 24 in the KHS gym.

All students will be on asynchronous learning so there will NOT be bus service that day.

Practice for Seniors with last names A – K will START at 7:30 AM

Practice for Seniors with last names L – Z will START at 10 AM

Seniors will NOT need their cap & gowns for practice.   We are still receiving late orders and seniors will be notified of their arrival through their school email account.

MASKS ARE REQUIRED at Graduation Practice and for grads and guests at the Graduation Ceremony.

Ceremony Start Times:

Last Names:  A – K  Ceremony @ 4:30 PM   

Last Names:  L – Z  Ceremony @ 7 PM

All graduates must be seated 30 minutes BEFORE the ceremony start time.

4 tickets to be given to Grads for guests once we receive them.  These will be distributed to our graduates by CMCSS as soon as possible.

PLEASE NOTE:  Anyone entering the building must have a ticket, including babies and small children.  All graduates and guests must wear masks.

Live streaming of each CMCSS ceremony will be provided for family and friends to view from home. The link will be posted on the CMCSS website closer to grad time.

Senior Cap and Gown orders and Graduation items are being delivered weekly.  Seniors will be notified by their student school email when their order has come in.  Please respond to the email so you can pick your order up in the front office or by another arrangement with Mrs. Smith.  These items are safely stored and not kept in her classroom so please contact her by replying to the student school email!

If you still haven’t ordered a cap and gown, you will have to do so online and pay for it with a credit or debit card.  Links are provided below for the Jostens website and for directions on how to order the basic required items for Graduation.

Jostens will be delivering caps & gowns and other graduation items on Wednesday, March 31st in the Activities Hall at Kenwood. ( See instruction links below)

• Traditional students may pick their orders up during all lunches or after school until 4 PM
• Virtual students may pick their orders up after school from 2:30 – 4 PM.
• Please enter the school in the Activities Hall entrance for after-school deliveries.
• Payments and New Orders for cap and gowns will be accepted that day in cash, credit or debit cards, or money orders. Checks will not be accepted.

Seniors who plan to walk in the Graduation 2021 Ceremony will need to have their cap & gown ordered ASAP for it to arrive in time for Graduation.

The basic required items package is $47 and includes the cap, gown, tassel, diploma, diploma cover.

Students who have already placed an order for this package, or any of the larger packages such as the mascot package, will receive their items at school on March 31st.

Delivery day for orders already placed is Wednesday, March 31st at KHS during all lunches for Traditional Students and after school for all students from 2:30 – 4 PM in the Activities Hall. Payments will be accepted that day – cash, credit/debit card, money orders. No checks can be accepted.

Attention students/parents/legal guardians: December graduate diplomas are in. Student or legal guardian can pick up from the school at your earliest convenience. Any outstanding fees MUST be paid before diploma is released.

All CMCSS high school online graduation celebrations will be posted on www.cmcss.net and social media on Thursday, May 21 at 4 p.m. Although the district planned to release these videos at the times and dates of the originally scheduled ceremonies for each school, we want to celebrate the district’s almost 2,400 graduates in unity. Be sure to watch when you can and share this info with your friends!

The Class of 2020 Graduates attending APSU and TSU will have their ACT score requirement waived for the Summer/Fall 2020 semester in response to the COVID Pandemic and students’ inability to take/retake scheduled spring tests.

All students should check with their teachers and/or on their Google Classrooms about enrichment activities and make-up work for the 3rd Nine Weeks (N3).

Students failing a class for N3 will have the opportunity to raise their grade to passing by completing the assignments made available by their teachers on Google Classroom.

Seniors, this is especially important for the courses required to graduate!
